January 12th - Shiny object...
Be cautious of shiny objects... and the stories they are a part of. It would be nice to believe most often there’s an exciting, positive, feel good narrative – like following a star resting over a joyful birth, the sparkle of an engagement ring, finding a golden treasure and so on.
The metaphoric ‘attention getters’ come with curiosity. What are all the moving pieces behind what is altering the focus, distracting an agenda, changing the subject, overshadowing momentum, and so on. Not that a welcome redirection isn't appropriate at times – sometimes a cover-up of what we don’t need to know, could be more harm than good – isn’t so wrong. Never at the concession of letting evil prevail.
That which shines draws us towards discovery.
